Concerts with Jordi Savall
Organization of the Orient-Occident, Mare Nostrum, and La Sublime Porte concerts with Jordi Savall and Hésperion XXI, one of the leading musicians and music historians of early music. The EU appointed him “Ambassador for Intercultural Dialogue” and UNESCO awarded him the title “Artist for Peace.”

Vivante Productions – “Mare Nostrum – A Concert. A Journey”
Initiation, production, and distribution of the film “Mare Nostrum – A Concert. A Journey” about the Mare Nostrum concert with Jordi Savall and the educational journey of Scuola Vivante students to their partner school in Morocco.
Directed by Stefan Haupt and Michelle Brun, 2015. The film received much international recognition and attention. Subtitled in all eleven national languages of the participating musicians.

Rietli Buchs Enhancement Project
Initiation and implementation of the “Rietli Enhancement Project” in Buchs together with the students, team, and parents of Scuola Vivante. A roughly 3.5-hectare former moorland area that was drained during land reclamation and used for fodder production was gradually restored to its original state. This ecological project, which enjoys much sympathy among the local population, was financed by public authorities and foundations. Trailblazing GmbH is managing the project phases from 2020-2023.
Teenage mothers – Community Focus Group Kenya
Supporting a dedicated group of artists in building an educational project for teenage mothers in Kenya.

Vivante Education Campus in Morocco
Supporting the establishment of école vivante in the High Atlas of Morocco. As initiators and knowledge providers, we supported the creation of école vivante, which today, as part of campus vivante, provides a solid education to over a hundred children and young people. With the permaculture project, the reforestation program, and the integration of hearing-impaired children, the vivante education campus has become an invaluable local asset and serves as a model for schools in developing countries.

The recreational program “Brütwerk – the Tinkering Workshop”
Initiation and financing
Brütwerk is a success story – the playground for technically, artistically, and creatively interested tinkerers aged nine and up has inspired numerous imitators throughout Switzerland. The idea and focus of Brütwerk fits into social development and the digital revolution. Creativity, technical understanding, the ability to develop problem-solving strategies, leave well-worn paths, and creatively explore new ways are among the currently needed skills.

Launch and organization of “Youth Technikum”
Once a year, for 12 years, three experimental lectures for children and young people in the fields of chemistry, physics, electrical engineering, mathematics, and microtechnology filled the large auditorium of NTB Buchs, the Interstate University of Applied Sciences. Around 4,000 children and young people took advantage of this opportunity, regardless of their academic background.

Establishment and direction of Scuola Vivante, CH-Buchs SG.
“to become who you are at the core of your being“
The innovative strength of this educational initiative lay in the unique and consistent implementation of networked and purpose-oriented work. The teaching material was the world. Being on the move, educational journeys, connection with nature, and working on larger projects were integral parts of the curriculum. In 2013, Scuola Vivante was awarded the Swiss School Prize; since 2010, it has been part of UNESCO-associated schools.

1986 – 1992
Shared years of teaching, learning, and wandering through Peru, in various Swiss school communities (projects, substitute positions), horticulture, on horseback as Mümäras Wandertheater to Greece and back, followed by residence on Herzenberg (alpine pasture barn) and in oberen Rüti (former farmhouse without electricity) leading to long-term commitment to building a free school.
